Kim Plater received a Woman of Achievement award from State Senator Ed Hernandez in recognition of her work in support of Law Enforcement and Domestic Violence issues. (See our DVAC Page) Kim was the first female police officer of the Covina Police Department and the Baldwin Park Police Department. Retired from Cal Poly Pomona as Chief of Police, Plater devotes her life to volunteer activities.

Covina Woman's Club was recognized as an outstanding service club in the community for the support it has provided to victims and survivors through DVAC, a section of the club. CWC president Jeannine Mooneyham accepted the award. (Jeannine is second from left in group picture).
